Brian is a 13 year veteran in the 9-1-1 field. He started his work in October, 2000 as a police dispatcher for New Castle County, Delaware. He transferred into the Fire/Medical dispatch area in February 2005 and has served in that section since.
Prior to entering the 911 center, Brian had volunteered many years of service as a responder and officer with Claymont Fire Company. He began his service in 1993, working up through the ranks eventually attaining the rank of Deputy Chief before stepping down to focus more on his career within the 9-1-1 field. Given his past experience, Brian is acutely aware of the risks and dangers the responders within the EMS and Fire service face on a daily basis.
Within the 9-1-1 center, Brian has served on several departmental committees and serves as an acting shift supervisor. Brian is also in his currently also serves on APCO’s Emerging Technologies committee. In Late 2005, Brian also had the opportunity to work for a month in Jefferson Parrish, LA in the wake of Hurricane Katrina as part of a response to an EMAC request.
Brian Lives in Claymont, Delaware with his wife Erinn and two daughters.
