About the Annual 911 Honor Awards

Based on nominations in the 4th quarter of the preceding year, every February the NG9-1-1 Institute hosts the Annual Honor Awards Reception where heroes and leaders in the 9-1-1 field are recognized and celebrated. Members of the Congressional NG911 Caucus and other Members of Congress and their staffs, federal agency staffs, members of the public safety community, public safety vendors, and members of the general public, especially those with an interest in supporting public safety, often attend.

The event is free to all – no reservation is required – and it is held in the Foyer of the Rayburn House Office Building – Capitol Hill – Washington, D.C.

This NG911 Honor Awards Reception is a widely attended public event hosted by the NG911 Institute, a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization. Congressional staff, the general public, public safety professionals, and members of the press are welcome. The Institute takes no positions on legislation or regulation. Rather, it's a neutral platform where thought leaders educate, discuss, and debate important public safety and NG911 issues that shape legislative and administration policy in an open forum.
