The NG9-1-1 Honor Award Nomination Process

The NG9-1-1 Institute hosts the Annual 9-1-1 Honor Awards Reception in D.C. to honor the heroes, individual leaders, and outstanding groups and organizations of the 9-1-1, public safety, and emergency response community for their achievements in the prior year. There are six award categories: Citizen in Action, Steve Souder Government Leader, Public Safety Professional, Industry Professional, Outstanding Call Center, and NG911 Awareness and the Carla Anderson Heart of 911 Award. There is also an opportunity to submit a nomination that doesn’t fit in one of the standard categories.

The Co-Chairs of the Congressional NextGen 9-1-1 Caucus, additional Members of Congress, our Sponsors and members, and federal, state, and local government leaders are invited to attend, share in the celebration, and to present these awards.

You can submit nominations at any time prior to the annual deadline established by the Board of Directors. Both self and third-party nominations are welcome. You do not have to be a member of the Institute to nominate or receive an award.

Please ensure to include contact information for both the Nominator and the Nominee along with all supporting articles or relevant information to best assist the Board of Directors during their review process.

Please reach out to executivedirector@ng911institute.org with any questions.
